Behind the Mask

Rae Crawford is an illustrator and designer living primarily in Brooklyn, NY. She shares a dorm with her fish, Sushi, to whom she tells all her secrets.

Crawford is currently an illustration major at Pratt Institute and a design intern at Brooklyn Restoration Plaza.

Crawford was secretary of the AIGA student group at College of DuPage from 2012-2014.  She was also an Adobe student representative at College of DuPage from 2013-2014. In the Summer 2015, she interned at Open Road Publishing and Era of the Engineer.

In her spare time, Rae enjoys spending time with friends, exploring, reading graphic novels, watching movies, and learning Italian. Travel, animation, children’s books, art history and bright, colorful design inspire her to create.

Crawford’s process consists of ripping a tag off a mattress, an ancient mummy curse, and doing the hokey pokey in reverse.
